WHY A DOCTYPE?
Per HTML and XHTML standards, a DOCTYPE (short for “document type declaration”) informs the validator which version of (X)HTML you’re using, and must appear at the very top of every web page. Welcome to my blog…
My name is Ayush Jain. I am a designer & animator.
My location is Hyderabad, India. - where I live and work. The majority of my day consists of sitting at a PC designing, surfing & consuming mass amounts of Internet.
I work full time at a accounting firm and in my spare time I design and try to keep up this blog. Here you’ll find tutorials and tips related to graphics, HTML/CSS, my struggles with JavaScript & jQuery and anything else in that area.
A Whole New Design

Ayushjain.in :The latest site update has been a long time coming and I think it’s the first that truly reflects me.
From 2005 to about a year ago my plan was to put everything I could under one site. I thought creating something sounding like a business would bring clients in droves. After 2 years, I learned that nothing is more powerful than my personal brand. It was me who was the driver, not some name I created.
With this change I focused more on increasing the value of my personal brand. I have mostly done this with social networking tools like facebook and orkut. I created my profiles, connected with friends, and have been regularly active. Nothing breakthrough and probably something any web professional should do. There was one thing that was missing and that was an updated site to help promote my brand and act as home base for all that I do. (continue reading…)
